Prayer

It changes everything! How can we pray for you?

Prayer changes everything

As Christians we are all called to intercede as a part our prayer life. The Bible clearly states the need for intercessory prayer in both the New and Old Testament. In Ephesians 6:19 Paul requested others to pray on his behalf for his boldness and accuracy in spreading the gospel to the Jews and Gentiles alike. Jesus Christ, prior to his crucifixion, prayed for his disciples to be protected under His Father’s name, to remain united just as He and His Father was one and that they would be sanctified in the truth. In Exodus 32:30-35 Moses interceded for the Israelites when he prayed, ‘You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.'”

We are inviting you to put your faith in action and join us in praying for the needs of Crosspoint Church members. Intercessory prayer is beneficial in terms of seeking God’s mercy and grace to support the needs of others and at the same time grow our own heart as we show love and compassion to others. When we lift others up in prayer, we are not only asking God to give strength and wisdom to others. We are making their prayers more effective as God promises “where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them.”

Our goal, God willing, is to expand our prayer team to pray for the congregation throughout the entire week. We presently pray each Tuesday and Sunday for church members and the worship team. God is powerful and there is nothing too large or small for Him to accomplish. So, join our team and put your faith into action, thanking and praising God for all He does.
